They’re four of Summer’s hottest trends that will see you deliver knockout style during the festive season and beyond. Opt for one trend at a time or go all out by donning all four at once. Fashion Writer Jacqueline Woods shows you how to stay cool while looking hot this season!

1. White Out

This Summer you can have a white Christmas in Australia (sorry that there won’t be any snow!) On the Spring/Summer runways we saw models donning crisp white garments of all descriptions. Take their lead, but don’t forget that napkin across your lap at the dinner table. This trend is head-to-toe perfection, so paint your nails and slip on some killer white heels too!

2. Drop Waist Wonders

The drop waist dress and skirt has seen a glorious resurgence since the release of The Great Gatsby earlier this year. Just think less sequins! This silhouette can look different on each body shape, but it is sure to flatter any shape. Victoria Beckham pulls off this look in an oversized number, incorporating dropped waists in Victoria by Victoria Beckham collections.

3. The Top Knot

Don’t you hate those days when your hair seems to always be in the way? Well the top knot hair style is your new best friend! It’s the easiest way to pull back those locks. The relaxed bun’s newest incarnation is the ultimate ‘model-off duty’ look, with top models such as Jess Hart regularly twirling her hair into a knot. You can opt for the full knot bun or a more half-up half-down look – either way you’re going to look stylish this Summer. The messier the better!

4. Shades of Sorbet

We’ve seen the pastel trend rise through shades of blush pink and peppermint green in dresses and cute short suits, but this season you can sweeten your face with sorbet-inspired hues for your lips, cheeks and lids. Perfect your pastels by lining your eyes with some sea foam green and sliding on some cotton candy colour on the lips.
